Input and Rumors

Input please! I have already moved things around and changed colors. The red was just too much for the eyes. The crazy quote from the Wizard of Oz has been moved since Kevin wasn't a big fan but I didn't want to nix it. Any input, both negative and positive is appreciated!

Rumor has it that the Hawthorn Woods race and the Northbrook race in the Chicago Cross Cup Series lost their venue. Hopefully they will be able to find something else for these dates. I'm not too sad that Hawthorn is gone, definitely my least favorite course, but I am sad about Northbrook. That was a fun course even though I spent alot of time on the ground. Also online registration for the CCC! This will surely be helpful.

WCA has a preliminary schedule up. A few course recommendations are Cam Rock, Badger Prairie, and Kletsch Park. If you have never raced in the WI series, I highly recommend it! They put on really well run races and the competition is fierce! I also like how they have three women's races(Cat 4, Cat 3, and Cat 1,2) and the fields are bigger than the ChiCross combined 1, 2, 3s . There is some overlapping again this year with WI and IL races which is a bummer. I wish both series would let you drop a race or two for total series points as I don't really want to have to commit to one series.

Summer is coming to a quick end for me as my school is going year round. This does mean cross practice will be starting up very soon! It seems that our Goose Poop Loop won't be a go as they have decided to incorporate the hilly part and area where we put the barriers into the bird sanctuary. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of just moving it a bit more south towards 31st. Also practice times?

Still Getting the Hang of It

Just signed up with blogger and still trying to figure out stuff. I would like to make my own template but have no idea how to do it. I have put a bunch of blogs on the link that we read and I am sure I have forgotten some too. Any helpful hints would be great.
